Our AWANA Club Program Includes Classes for:
Cubbies - Children who are of Preschool age (Coed)
Sparks - Children in kindergarten through second grade (Coed)
Truth & Training - Children third through sixth grade (Spilt Boys & Girls)
Approved Workman are not Ashamed - 2 Timothy 2:15
This program is one of our most active ways to reach the children of our community. Our hope through this program is to reach boys and girls with the gospel, and then train them to serve Christ in their everyday lives. Like most typical AWANA clubs, Northside provides groups for children of all ages, Cubbies for children who are in the two-years prior to kindergarten, Sparks for children in kindergarten through second grade, Truth & Training for children third through sixth grade. AWANA is held on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. except the summer months (During the summer months, we do provide a summer ministry for kids that attend church on Wednesday nights). Awana nights include an opening ceremony, game time, handbook time, and council time. These activities are designed to keep kids focused on service to Christ while having fun and encouraging scripture memorization and strong Christian living skills. We have an annual AWANA car prix race and the "Northside Battle of the Champs" held at our church.
